You Are Refreshing

Hello everyone...

I am so glad to be back on Craftn Desert Divas' Blog  to share with you my little project.

Here is what I made for you.

I don't know about you but for me I eat watermelon quite often due to the weather here in Singapore.  So I hope this little card can give you virtual refreshing in wherever you are. :)

I began by cutting my main panel from white cardstock using Crazy Stitched Frame dies using the largest and the smallest dies in the set.  I then put them back together secured them temporary with washi tape at the back.  Then I stamped the slice of watermelon image from Market Stand stamp all over the main panel except at the center panel toward the left.  I used the whole watermelon image and stamped it there along with the sentiment from Scoops stamp set.

I then took the center piece out and stamped the slice of watermelon image onto some post-it paper repeatedly (I mean alot *lol*) and fussy cut them out to cover all my slices.  Then I began to use Distress Oxide Ink in iced spruce covered lightly just to give it some light color rather than white.  For the center panel I used worn lipstick Distress Oxide ink.

I colored all images with copic makers and adhered the center panel onto some light weight layering paper in black and popped the panel up with form tape.   As in trend now I dropped Nuvo Crystal Drop in Apple Green color for additional interest.

I hope you like it and Thank you for stopping by today.

Hugs,
Jan

Wishing You A Million Happy

Hello there my friends...

I have a little project to share with  you today inspired by Craftin Desert Divas Social Media Monthly Mood Board Challenge... Here is the inpiration board.

You can participate our Challenge and here is the link to CDD gallery

And here is my project I created

I love how versatile of this Floral Wreaths stamp.  Those small flowers images are so pretty.  I created this bouquet of flowers with some masking paper... I know a lot of small images to fussy cut out but I think they're worth the trouble to acheive the look that I wanted.  I also use the faboulous big bow from Winter Bliss stamp partially not inking at the top left corner of the bow.  I planed to have the flowers overlapping down a little bit for abit of realistic look.

I colored all images with copic markers and cut my panel with Fancy Frame dies.  I stamped the sentiment at the top from This and That stamp and finished it off with Nuvo Crystal Drop in Wedgewood Blue.

I hope you like it and play along with us at CDD Facebook Gallery.  Thank you for stopping by today and I wish you all a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Jan

Here are what I have for you today.

Project #1 : Ladybug Garden Stamp

I began by stamping the center flower bug pot at the center of my panel and maked her off with some masking paper that I fussy cut the image out.  I then stamped another one at each sides.  I colored them all with copic markers and decided to play around with the sentiment.

I cut the sign dies from Garden Border dies 3 times and partially stamped the sentiment using only words "laughs, love and smiles" onto the sign diecut pieces.  I then stamped again the whole sentiment and cut them seperately and attached on white strip of paper that I colored the border around using the matching copic markers that I used on each flowers.

Before I attatched down the sentiment.  I cut my main panel using Crazy Stitched Frame dies for some interest... And surprised I didn't use any Nuvo Crystal Drop on this card. *lol*

Project #2 : Weather Gnomes Stamp

This card I did it differently from my usual coloring medium.  I used Inktense Watercolor Pencils for this.  I began by stamping this adorable cloud girl onto some watercolor paper toward the bottom right of my panel.  I handdrawn lightly with pencils for my rainbown strips to match the length of the sentiment that I stamped on Flag Banner dies.

After I colored the rainbow path and let it dried, I used Inktense Watercolor Pencil itself in blue to drawn my sky clouds.  I didn't do a good job on this but it's a learning curve for me.  Before I attached the sentiment banner down I cut my panel with Crazy Stitched Frame dies and droped Nuvo Crystal Drop in Apple Green here and there.

Project #3 : Stars And Wishes Stamp

I did onelayer card on this.  I stamped and position all the images onto white panel that cut from Crazy Stitched Frame dies.  I colored all in with copic markers.  I masked of the main Star Critter of with some post-it paper but I wanted to do something else with those clound flowers and stars because they are so small especially those leaves.

I droped Glossy Accent onto those flowers clouds and stars and wait till them completly dried.  Once they're dried they would resist my ink blending background.  I used Distress ink tumble glass, salty ocean, chipped sapphire and abit of black sooth at the bottom.

I do hope you enjoy all my projects for this release and THANK YOU so much for taking time to look at my projects... Have a Beautiful Day!

Hugs,
Jan

Craftin Desert Divas Day 1 May Products Release

Welcome to Day1 Craftin Desert Divas May Products Release.  I'll be sharing 3 of my projects for today and another 3 for tomorrow...  All New Release products are avaliable now.. Click here

Here are what I have for you today.

I had so much fun doing these release projects.  They are all coordinated very well...  I used the adorable bugs from Garden Bugs stamp itself along with Garden Border dies.  I colored the adorable bugs, veggies, flowers and stems with copic markers.  The green glowing background and the dirt border die I used Distress Oxide inks walnuts stain and cracked pistachio.

I also used Crazy Stitched Frame dies, Nuvo Crystal Drop Crushed Grape and Glossy Accent to accent my card.

I am a big fan of Mindy's artworks... I did the background with Distress Oxide Inks in broken china, worn lipstick and cracked pistachio and used spray water botter to split some clear water for the effect.  I also die cut from white card stock using hill die from Outdoor Landscape dies and used Distress Ink in twisted citron and mowed lawn for grass.

I stamped the pretty girl from Market Stand stamp onto white card stock, colored her with copic markers and fussy cut her out.  I also diecut the flowers and stems from Garden Border dies and Garden Accessories dies from some color cardstocks.  The watering can is from Garden Accessories.  I cut it from white cardstock and colored it with copic markers as well...  Before I adhered everything down I used Crazy Stitched Frame for some edges decoration and used Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bubblegum Blush, Apple Green and Crushed Olive to accent my card.

I adored this cute bear bee :) from Sweet As Honey stamp. I used Picture Frame dies to die cut my main panel as well as the window itself from white card stock.  For the window center I used Dooblebug Spring Thing paper pad.

My main panel I wanted to keep it light for my window panel to pop up so I used honeycomb stencil with Distress Oxide fossilized amber ink and light coat with Distress Oxide ice spruce ink.

For the negative window panels, I stamped that bear bee and bee hive images and colored them with copic markers.  Since the sentiment is a bit bigger than the small negative window panel so I die cut Flag Banner dies from white card stock and manipulated it abit to get the curve that I wanted and stamped.  I finished it off by dropping Nuvo Crystal Drop in Bubblegum Blush and Carribean Ocean.

Oh that's alot for today :)  Do come back for tomorrow for another 3 projects... Thank you for stopping by today and see you soon.

Hugs,
Jan
